hey dear readers,
i'm so sorry i disappeared on you! i ran away to NJ, where time moves really strangely. i get up with fantastic good intentions and the day starts off great- i do my morning pages and my physical therapy exercises. but next, while eating my gluten- and dairy- free breakfast, things begin falling apart. because my parents read actual newspapers first thing in the morning, like they have all the time in the world, like the aristocracy of downton abbey. and i fall for it, thinking, "what am i, chopped liver?" and indulge in the sudoku puzzle. i got into sudoku years ago because, let's face it, my logic skills could use some work. it's really fun! once i solve that, i move over to the word jumble, which is so hopelessly dorky but i can't resist. solving it makes me feel like a codebreaker. by that point it's suddenly 11 am. so that is my morning in NJ. but i will be back soon with a recap of post-11am goings on tomorrow, my first completely free day since i arrived.
here's a teaser:
- i bought a christmas tree
- i went to NYC with my mom and saw billy joel at madison square garden
- caught up one of my best friends on the upper west side and felt like maybe, maaaaaayyyyyybe, i could live in NYC
- went to uniqlo
- i'm picking out new glasses AND making cookies today (!!!)
