the news is we become what we do. you can turn it into the good kind by accepting it, deciding what you want to be, and practicing. alternatively, you can make it bad news through denial and avoidance.
up to you.
to start, figure out your goal.
make a daily commitment to it. there's no other way to hone your craft to the level of artistry. do what you are, with clarity and integrity, daily. whether or not you feel like it is irrelevant.
action! mastery doesn’t happen by chance, nepotism, or divine right. it happens by constant exertion. so no more calling yourself something saying you are something without following through on that pesky second part—the doing.
also, no apologizing for your work or diluting it with "but i'm just starting out" or "no one seems to care." you’re not an "aspiring actress” or “trying to make films.” act. film. now. commit hard and keep moving.
